Delivers Reliable, Consistent Data Transmission
Network performance is reliable and consistent, regardless of the building’s age or size. Telkonet’s iWire System is designed for use in commercial environments, effectively eliminating the potential problems of electrical line noise, electrical load imbalances, unpredictable attenuation and transformer interference.

By overcoming challenges that could interfere with data signals, network performance is stable and reliable. Incorporates a multi-carrier modulation scheme that enables data to be shifted from one carrier to another as real-time noise and attenuation conditions change, so data transmission is not interrupted. As a result, Internet access is continuous and seamless.

Encrypted Data Ensure Secure Transmission
Data transmission is secure and safe, as data is encrypted with 56-bit Data Encryption Standard (DES). Unlike other communication options, transmission is secure from outside intrusion, since Telkonet’s iWire System is in effect “hard-wired” by using existing electrical wiring. Patent-pending Telkonet iBridge-to-Telkonet Gateway architecture ensures that no user can see other users on the network.

Remote Network Management Saves Time and Response Time
Telkonet’s iWire System offers a centralized point for administration of modems and software upgrades. The network can be managed remotely via the world wide web (http), Telnet (command line) or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) interface. Remote network management enables identification of trouble areas before impacting customer service and reduces the response time in the event of a failure.
